ABOUT THE CAVE
Descend 120 feet below the Earth’s surface into a vast wonderland of stalactites and stalagmites. Lost World Caverns, discovered in 1942, is a magical place for explorers of all ages. Approximately 45 minutes to walk through, we offer self-guided tours so you can take your time to explore the cavern at your own pace; remember to stay on the trail. Information signs will provide details about the many different formations as you explore the half-mile loop. No matter the temperature on the outside, the cave always remains at a constant 52 degrees. A light jacket and good shoes are recommended.
Book a tour and explore the caverns for yourself. You never know what you might discover!
Discover the vast wonderland of stalactites and stalagmites that hides 120 feet below the Earth’s surface.
Wild cave tours provide the more adventurous explorers an opportunity to go beyond the standard walking tour and discover undeveloped parts of our cavern.
Another fun activity offered is our gem mining. Try your hand at mining the old fashioned way and enjoy the thrill of finding a variety of semi-precious gemstones, arrowheads, minerals or fossils by using a screen in an authentic water sluice. Anything you find in your bag is yours to keep!
