Lost World Caverns

Descend 120 feet below the Earth’s surface into a vast wonderland of stalactites and stalagmites. Lost World Caverns, discovered in 1942, is a magical place for explorers of all ages. Approximately 45 minutes to walk through, we offer self-guided tours so you can take your time to explore the cavern at your own pace; remember to stay on the trail. Information signs will provide details about the many different formations as you explore the half-mile loop. No matter the temperature on the outside, the cave always remains at a constant 52 degrees. A light jacket and good shoes are recommended.

Gem Mining

Another fun activity offered is our gem mining. Try your hand at mining the old fashioned way and enjoy the thrill of finding a variety of semi-precious gemstones, arrowheads, minerals or fossils by using a screen in an authentic water sluice. Anything you find in your bag is yours to keep!

An Amazing Underground Adventure! Our visit to Lost World Caverns was absolutely unforgettable! Exploring a natural cave 120 feet underground is such a unique experience, and this place does not disappoint. Recommended for caverns lovers. The location is pretty good; having options of picnic tables, good souvenir shop. Parking is not large but good to go as there’s option of side parking. Inside visit is pretty organized.

Amazing place and great prices too. A lot of hard work has gone into Lost World Caverns so it can be enjoyed by those who would never get to see it otherwise. The staff is very friendly. The owner talked to us for about a half hour answering any questions we had. Highly recommended for all ages. I imagine they could charge much more than they do for such an adventure. Thank you for charging such an honest entrance fee. We did the Lost World Caverns 1/2 mile self guided loop. Wear a jacket for the 52 degree temperature. A regular hoodie is enough. Large jackets are not necessary. Very interesting to see a living cave with millions of years in the making. Thanks again for the wonderful experience.
